Founded by two veteran Chicago stylists, Red Raven Salon approached us with a clear vision for their new shop. Their goal? To buck tradition and embrace different. Inspired by their shared passion for the horror genre and appreciation for the Gothic style, they wanted a space that pushed boundaries and challenged convention. With enough edge and bite that pays homage to the genres, Red Raven Salon is a beautifully done contemporary and playful take on the style.

The options presented to the Red Raven team included a variety of marks that spanned traditional to abstract. The final mark depicts a symmetrical raven over a full moon. A simple icon that captures the essence of their inspiration. The logotype uses a modern blackletter type style, with modifications to the “R” characters, which makes for an iconic monogram logo option. The website takes a simple, clean, and modern approach while showcasing all elements of the Red Raven brand.
